Retreat Definition: has spiritual origins it is the physical removal of self from normal life to allow time for contemplation and step out of your everyday role.
Whether your everyday role be neck-deep in mum life, clocking into the corporate death march, wrangling dad duties, or just trying to survive adulthood without screaming into your pantry.
Surfaris Retreat a space where so many walks of life come through the doors and where She-Babaeu was born, artists, musicians, salty characters with good stories and hangovers that came with names we’ll never forget.
One day I was having a Negroni with Laure Mayer, filmmaker, surfer, founder of Lore of the Sea and People of Surfing, and it just made sense. We clicked.
We figured there had to be other women out there like us. Into surfing. Into silliness. Into a good boogie and a better drink.
The ones who love a dirty Margi, know how to let loose, and want something real to be a part of. And that’s how She-Babaeu started. No pitch deck. No master plan. Just a feeling worth following.
Many years on—and the retreat scene is saturated , over endorsed cash-grabby and cutthroat just like anything that makes money. So its time to start new chapter but not with out paying respects to where it all started with Laure Mayer our favourtite flamenco dancing frenchie

Domestic: Port Macquarie Airport — that’s where we’ll pick you up.
International: Fly into Sydney → transfer to domestic terminal → fly into Port Macquarie. Our shuttle’s waiting.
We recommend it if you’ve got one you love. If not, we’ve got longboards onsite (limited quantity).
You can pay in full or secure your spot with a 15% deposit at checkout. Just make sure to select the deposit option before adding your retreat to cart!
We get that life (and swell) can be unpredictable. All deposits are non-refundable, but if something major comes up, shoot us an email. We’ll try to sort you out.
Yep — especially if you’re coming from overseas. Travel and Medical Insurance is mandatory for international guests.
